Truth versus Deception. How do we know?

Written by Schalk_and_Elsa. Posted in False teachings

I recently received an article via e-mail. The message is about a very popular topic “Can the law save?” This article is a prime example of the deception of our day and age. Deception comes very easily when you quote scripture out of context, when you only spend a few minutes studying your Bible and rely on people for your instruction without verifying what they teach. Can you spot these deceptions or are they too well hidden in the half truths? In this article I will explain some of these tricks that are used to deceive people into believing false doctrines. I will show what you can do to better protect yourself from these misleading articles.

When you enter the land – Understanding the full context leads to better understanding

I have often heard the phrase “When you enter the land” mentioned in discussion on the applicability to a specific commandment. I have previously spoken about our logic getting in the way of our obedience. Could the use of this condition be another example of us trying to reason which of the instructions of YHVH to obey? A good example of this is the sabbatical year. Should we or shouldn’t we keep the instructions regarding the sabbatical year? Is it only applicable to people living in Israel or is it applicable to all? What about the pilgrimage feasts? Should we go to Israel three times a year or not? Let us do a detailed study of this phrase and see what conclusions we can make and how that needs to be applied in our lives today.

Weigh your words….

Written by Schalk_and_Elsa. Posted in Training in righteousness

Can words be measured? Can words be weighed?
What is the measure of my words?

Job 31:6
6 Let Him weigh me with accurate scales, And let יהוה know my integrity.

What does weighing and scales have to do with words or with integrity? Picture an old scale, maybe an ancient scale that uses weights for measurement. Now let us say Abba YHVH’s instructions are the weights against which our words are weighed. Put the Word of YHVH into the one weighing pan and your words in the other. How do your words measure against His Word? Would you not like your words to be in perfect balance with YHVH’s. Is that at all possible?

Deception of the Religious Apartheid within

Written by Schalk_and_Elsa. Posted in False teachings

Last time I spoke of the different sources of deception that would exist in the end time. During the last week I ran into one of these and this reminded me of my days in South Africa when apartheid was still enforced. I have found the similarities between the two very revealing but also see the decpetion that is once again built on a bit of truth. Be aware and take note that this does not deceive you.
