What is Righteousness? Let us count the ways

Written by Schalk_and_Elsa. Posted in Training in righteousness

We are counting the Omer, a very significant time of the year. We just relived the exodus out of Egypt, when we celebrated Pesach and the Feast of Unleavened bread. We remembered the death and resurrection of our Saviour Y’shua, the Messiah with the feast of First Fruit! This is a time of spiritual preparation for the next feast, Shavuot. It is a new season, a fresh beginning. Let us consider what righteousness is and purpose ourselves to live in righteous obedience to His Word.

That said, do we know what righteousness is? Do we know how to live righteously?

Prophecy in the sun, moon and stars

There is an area of study that is, of recent, getting a lot of attention, that is the using of signs in heaven as prophetic displays, pointing to future events. What are these signs and are there any truth therein? Can we determine the future by the movement of stars and planets? Are we to look for signs in heaven to know what is approaching? What does the Scripture teach us in this regard? Could this be part of the strong delusion spoken of in the Scriptures? Y’shua said: “be careful that no one deceives you.”

Have we become the modern-day Pharisees?

Have we become like the Pharisees in the time of Y’shua? Have you noticed how critical and judgmental we have become? There seems to be a tendency among believers to judge. To judge others for their different interpretation of scripture, for their use of certain words or for their use or pronunciation of the name of our Creator. People, where is this going? Should we not be spending this time in a more productive way? Do we not all have one Father?

The significance of understanding First Fruits

Written by Schalk_and_Elsa. Posted in First Fruits

We have now entered the season of the spring festivals as described in Leviticus 23. In our previous post we highlighted some of the facts regarding the first two feasts of the year, namely Pesach and the feast of Unleavened bread. In this article we will be discussing about the next appointed time that is most likely also the most overlooked of all. I am referring to the First Fruits offering. Do you really understand why this is in my opinion the most important moedim for us as followers of Y’Shua our Messiah?
