How tolerant should we be, if at all?

Written by Schalk_and_Elsa. Posted in Deception

What exactly is tolerance? Is tolerance a Biblical principle and if so, how are we to apply it in our lives? How tolerant should we as believers be? What can be tolerated and what not? These are all questions we are confronted with when we consider this theme. I have come to believe that the modern version of tolerance is a deception. This deception could not only prevent people from hearing the truth, but also encourage them to continue in sin. Instead of me giving you my opinion, let us see how our Heavenly Father sees tolerance.

What is the New or Renewed Covenant? – Covenants – Part 5

Y'Shua Jesus adds us to the commonwealth of Israel

Let us look at the covenant that is most commonly referred to as “the New Covenant.” It is important for us to understand exactly what this is, when it starts, how it relates to the Abrahamic & Sinai covenants and what the impact of this covenant is on us. We also need to take special notice of the role of Y’Shua our Messiah in this covenant. While studying this topic, it is important to try to keep ourselves clear of preconceived ideas of what this covenant is and how we are impacted. Many of us have been introduced to this covenant via a wrong point of view. It is challenging to look upon this study with a new point of view that does not bring the previous teachings with.

All that YHVH has spoken we will do!…a message for Shavuot

Written by Schalk_and_Elsa. Posted in Shavuot

It is almost Shavuot again, the feast of proclamation. How blessed are we to be able to celebrate YHVHs appointed times? YHVH has a purpose with these days, a very special purpose. These appointed times are prophetic and this one, Shavuot, has been fulfilled twice. We have learned, with the previous cycle, that this day is also called the day of proclamation. So what are we proclaiming this year? We believe that we need to continue in repentance as our ways are not perfect before Him. However, we also need to re-commit ourselves to serve YHVH, without compromise. Allow us to explain…

Modesty…the holy and the profane

Written by Schalk_and_Elsa. Posted in Modesty

We recently received a comment on an article we posted on modesty. This article was written by an anonymous author. It gave his point of view on modesty. This prompted us to write our understanding of what is written in the Word on modesty, so here it is. This article is not only about modesty, but also about the holy and the profane; the set apart and the common.

We live in a time where moral values have become unimportant and people, for the most part, live for self. Modesty is not something that is considered in worldly circles, on the contrary; it is regularly laughed at. Being immodestly dressed is even considered trendy. The profane is elevated and set apartness is scoffed at. It is one of the signs of the times we live in. Immodesty is one of the devices Satan uses to destroy moral values, marriages and our youth. In this study, we shall learn about set apart modesty. Set apart modesty is about distinguishing between the holy and the profane. This includes dress, behavior and speech.
