We have recently proclaimed: “All that YHVH has spoken; we will do, and we will be obedient.” This urges us to investigation of our lives. Are we doing all that YHVH has spoken and are we obedient? One issue, of many, YHVH led me to look into, is mixing. The prohibition to mix certain things is something that is often overlooked and seems quite unimportant. So why would we want to spend any time investigating this? How are we to understand these commandments?
You may have noticed that we are always referring to Israel and saying that we are a part of Israel. You may have wondered where we got this notion from? It is of fundamental importance to know and understand this. Our identity determines how we live. Think about any culture; being part of a certain culture determines what you do and how you live. However, being part of Israel is more than just being part of a culture, it is a way of life in accordance with our Creator. We shall show you in this article why we say we are part of Israel and why it is significant.
Shavuot in Jerusalem…Thinking of this time brings back fond memories, memories of friendship, fellowship but more importantly a reminder of our commitment to YHVH. On this day, we went up to Jerusalem, to the city of David, with friends from many different countries and renewed our commitment to be obedient to our Heavenly Father. We proclaimed, “All that YHVH has spoken we will do, and we will be obedient.”
