How celebrating Sukkot shapes us

Written by Schalk_and_Elsa. Posted in Sukkot

On the plains of Jerusalem during Sukkot you can see lots of temporary eating places

At first, some of YHVH’s instructions appear strange to us. We do not see the sense in keeping them. Yet, if we are obedient and keep the commandment, we soon see the benefits. Sometimes you see the benefits after making the commandment a habit. The feast of Sukkot is one of these commandments. By keeping the feast a couple of times, you start to see how this positively shapes your life.

How to forgive

If we want to ensure that we live within the blessings of YHVH, we need to ensure that our relationships with our brothers are in good shape. We cannot go before YHVH if we have a brother that has something against us. Does this imply we simply need to forgive all who transgress against us? This introspection is part of the preparation for the fall feasts: Yom T’ruah, Yom Kippurim and Sukkot. But there is more…

A call to Boldness

Written by Schalk_and_Elsa. Posted in Training in righteousness

Do you speak with boldness about YHVH and His things or do you prefer to keep quiet? Boldness is another one of those recurring themes that I am experiencing in my life. I believe that it is not only for me, but that YHVH is calling us to be bold and to tell people about Him. This is still possible, we have the freedom now, but only YHVH knows for how long. Persecution of believers is on the increase and will force most to silence.
