We are often told that the scepter has been entrusted to Judah based on Genesis 49:9-10. However, if you follow the advice we gave you last week and reread these verses, you will see that these verses tell you that the scepter will pass from Judah. I believe that this has already happened and Judah no longer has the scepter or the ruler’s staff. Y’shua has taken this back from Judah and His followers now follow Him alone. Do not confuse the ruler with “the chosen people”! Israel is and always will be YHVH’s chosen people. Judah and Ephraim will always be a part of Israel, as will the “gentiles” that add themselves to YHVH and His covenants as bondservants. Allow me to be your alarm clock and wake you up.
We believe that we are living in a time of restoration. Many things are being revealed to us and restored to us. The seventh day Sabbath has been restored to us. The Biblical feasts have been restored to us. More and more, we are being taught to keep Abba YHVH’s commandments. We, being in the Diaspora cannot keep any of the commandments perfectly. We keep Sabbath, but we can’t do the commanded offers; we celebrate the feasts and there also we lack. We believe that we should be observing all the Sabbaths: the weekly, the annual and the seventh year Sabbath as well. This will, likewise, be difficult to keep in the Diaspora, but nonetheless, not impossible. There is more to the Sabbatical year than just the commandments regarding the land. We also have to release every debt. It remains part of YHVH’s divine reckoning of time. We won’t be able to do it perfectly. It is about keeping YHVH’s way to the best of our ability and with a willing heart.
We are living in such a special time! A time of restoration in which YHVH is restoring His way to us. Coming out of Babylon (the church system) into truth, we have set aside some spiritual things, until such a time as now. We now have to (re)learn what our mandate is regarding spiritual matters. We need to understand and know this in order to function fully in the body of Messiah Y’shua. Do we know what our mandate is regarding spiritual warfare? Do we have the authority to go and rebuke all evil? What does the Scripture teach us about spiritual authority? This is the first in a couple of articles that I will be sharing on this topic.
The topic of tithing and giving has been much debated and there are many different interpretations of the Scripture regarding this topic. Both individuals and organizations have twisted the scriptures regarding tithing for their own benefit. The purpose of this study is to see what the Scripture teaches about tithing and how we should apply it in our lives. We are going to look into pre-mosaic tithing, mosaic tithing and what we can learn from Y’shua and history. What does Abba Yahovah require from us with regards to tithing and giving? What is in our Father’s heart?
