To cover or not to cover…that is the question. Is it commanded by Scripture for women to wear head coverings? I personally believe that I should do so and it has since made a difference in my life. It is a blessing to me. I experience it to be proper respect to YHVH when I pray to Him, when I teach my children about Him and when I talk about Him – the Creator and King of the universe. YHVH deserves our respect and fear even in something that might seem so trivial or unimportant.
We all know that our salvation is by faith through His grace. If we believe that His Son, Y’Shua our Messiah, has died for us without any sin and was resurrected from the dead, then we have eternal life. But why does it then make any difference what I do? I cannot earn my salvation through works, thus I can do what I like and my salvation is secured. In this article I will proof to you that this believe is in contradiction to what our Messiah taught. Even Paul does not subscribe to this even though his verse of “cursed under the law” (Galations 3:10) is very frequently misquoted to support this theology. Let us examine the scriptures to see why it makes a difference what I say and do.
What does scripture tell us about the first of the fall feasts? How much of what you have learned comes from men and how much from YHVH? We have mixed commandments and traditions so much that it becomes very difficult to tell the one from the other. As we get closer to Yom T’ruah it is good to look at what YHVH commanded regarding this moed. If we know what is commanded we can determine if the traditions are the rules of men or a valuable teaching aid. Every feast is a rehearsal and an opportunity to learn more as to how YHVH wants us to keep this moed with and for Him. We will also have a look at the prophetic significance of this feast. What does this feast have to do with the second coming of our Messiah?
I often ask myself the question: Are we nearing the end of days? Are we entering into the latter part of our last seven years on earth? It is said that even the unbelievers believe that earth’s time is running out. Speculation of a brown dwarf or comet named Elenin coming our way…. What is the truth? Can we find any truth in the world nowadays? The internet is full of articles proving and disproving the very same thing. What are we to believe?
How do we separate the truth from the lie and should we even attempt to do so?
I believe that we should be different to the people in the world – we are set apart people. Set apart to and by YHVH!
