In the Gospel of John we have a recording of a conversation that took place between Y’Shua and a Jewish teacher named Nicodemus. This is a very profound discussion that can only be appreciated by understanding the context of the questions and answers. In order to understand any message clearly we also need to understand the sender and the receiver of the message. To appreciate the answers that Y’Shua gives Nicodemus, we must think like Nicodemus would have thought. With this study we will show you the longevity of this message by analyzing the perceptions of the sender and receiver of the message. You will come to see that the answer given to Nicodemus reveals the Messiah to us and also tells us how to ensure that we will see the Kingdom of YHVH.
YHVH gave His people prophesies in order for them (and us) to know that He is in control since the very beginning. He is not surprised by what happens in the world or in our lives. Prophecies are also for our re-assurance when we fear and doubt; it strengthens us when our faith is weak. YHVH had a plan from the beginning and Y’shua was part of His plan. How do we know if Y’shua was the prophesied Messiah?
Y’shua is the Light of the world; the Word made flesh; He is the Good Shepherd, the Bread of Life. We learned in a previous article ” Y’shua in Prophecy – Part 3 -The Servant,” that He is also the Suffering Servant, Who redeemed us with His life by being a guilt offering. It is fascinating to see how many times YHVH has revealed Y’shua to us through the prophets. It makes us marvel at Him, knowing that he had a plan of redemption from the very beginning.
In this article, we will learn that Y’shua is the Branch also. We need to know and understand all this in order to have a strong foundation, especially when we are confronted by those who have fallen away from the faith in Messiah Y’shua or those to whom Y’shua has not yet been revealed as the Messiah.
When you read that Y’shua rendered Himself as a guilt offering in Isaiah 53:10, have you considered why specifically a guilt offering? Why not a sin offering or a peace offering, for example? Is it even important?
In this study, we shall show you the significance of Y’shua being, specifically, a guilt offering. It is so amazing and confirms once again that YHVH had a plan from the beginning. We can trust Him, He’s got everything under control!
