The Way of the Nations
There are two ways we can follow in life: the way of YHVH or the way of the nations. YHVH has given us free will so we choose which way we follow. However, even if we think we follow YHVH’s way, we might, unknowingly, be following the way of the nations. The way of the nations may inadvertently have infiltrated our lives in some form. In order to determine what this means and if my statement is true or not, we need to define “the way of the nations.” It can be defined as anything contrary to YHVH’s word or ways.
The Potter and the clay
Every day we get up and face life with all its challenges. Life can be difficult and often is. We all suffer in some way and some, like Job, suffer in many ways at the same time. It seems to me, from personal experience, but also from speaking to other people, that life’s challenges have increased. Have you noticed it too? Not only are we facing increasing natural disasters, threats to our freedom, personal issues, but spiritually things have heated up as well. We live under immense pressure and it is increasing. Why is this? Could it be that YHVH is trying to show us or teach us something?
Purity and Holiness
Purity and holiness are two words that that have come across my path so much the last couple of weeks and not only mine. It is as if YHVH is urging His children to focus on becoming pure and holy before Him. Purity and holiness aren’t new, YHVH has always required it of us, but it is as if there is an urgency to this. We have to be pure and holy. Why is this necessary, you may wonder?
Why does evil seem to prevail?
We live in a wonderful world, the beauty of creation declares YHVH’s existence. You can’t study the detail of any created being or plant without realizing that there is a Designer of it all. It can’t just happen by change. YHVH created every intricate detail of existence. He designed it meticulously and we have yet to discover many facets of it. Modern science has touched the tip of it, but cannot claim they know or have discovered all there is to know. YHVH is in control of all this, and He has a plan, He knows the end from the beginning. Nothing is random or chaos. His purpose will prevail and his purpose is to save. Read further to find out how prevailing evil is connected to this…
National and Personal redemption, both are required
“The person who sins will die. The son will not bear the punishment for the father’s iniquity, nor will the father bear the punishment for the son’s iniquity; the righteousness of the righteous will be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked will be upon himself.”(Eze 18:20) The Apostle Paul also teaches that we are to work out our own salvation with fear and trembling (Phil 2:12) Each of us is responsible for him or herself in the sense that we are to repent of our own sins when we become aware of it. However, there is something to be said about national repentance and redemption. There is much proof of this in Scripture. How are we to understand and apply this in our lives?
Being an overcomer and receiving the reward
There are many references in Scripture about being an overcomer. There are also promises given to those who overcome. In this study we shall look into what it means to be an overcomer in the eternal sense. We will also look into what is required of us and what was promised to those who overcome.
