I have recently written two articles on the topic of head covering. I find it a very intriguing but at the same time; overlooked topic. The authority structure of Yahovah is the most important facet of this teaching. The head covering was given to the woman to wear as an outward sign of that authority. I recently came across this article that not only supports the view we hold but, also adds some new understanding, especially with regards to the part in 1 Cor 11 about the angels.
Since my previous article on head coverings , I have learned a lot from the questions I have received. I appreciate all the feedback I have received and have decided to put it together in a document. I just find it easier to refer to later. I want to invite you to give me your opinion on this also. Head covering is in my opinion more important than we think. It is a symbol of Yahovah’s authority. It is however not a salvation issue and definitely not something that should cause disunity. This is also not the purpose of writing this. I want to give you my view on it and share it with you because of the blessings I enjoy since I decided to wear it.
To cover or not to cover…that is the question. Is it commanded by Scripture for women to wear head coverings? I personally believe that I should do so and it has since made a difference in my life. It is a blessing to me. I experience it to be proper respect to YHVH when I pray to Him, when I teach my children about Him and when I talk about Him – the Creator and King of the universe. YHVH deserves our respect and fear even in something that might seem so trivial or unimportant.
