• Preparing for the Fall feasts

    Preparing for the Fall feasts

We are currently in the sixth month of the Biblical year, the month of Elul. This month is traditionally known as a month of introspection or repentance. This is a tradition, but a worthwhile one. It is good to consider where we are and what we have done. It is also good to ask YHVH to reveal to us what may be standing between us and Him and between us and fellow believers. We can use this time well and forgive and ask forgiveness. This introspection is part of the preparation for the fall feasts: Yom T’ruah, Yom Kippurim and Sukkot. But there is more…

  • The spiritual fix for fear

    The spiritual fix for fear

As we have already seen, a number of our health issues come from the spiritual dimension. One of these sources is fear. Fear can create havoc in your life if it is not under control. We need to understand what fear and anxiety does to our bodies before we can start the healing. Healing also needs to take a physical and spiritual approach if we want to cure rather than treat. What steps do you need to take to identify and remove fear from your life?

  • Answered prayer

    Answered prayer

Why don’t we see more miracles in the body of Y’shua? Why don’t we see more answered prayers? When we read the Scriptures, we see that YHVH is not powerless, He has been and still is doing miracles. If we don’t experience this in our own lives, it’s up to us to search for a reason why.

  • What do we do with disease

What do we do with disease

Continuing our study in health and healing, we will now look at the cause of the spiritual diseases. How do we contract a spiritual disease? How does our spirit connect with our physical health? We have seen that the medical system is not capable of dealing with these diseases, thus we need to turn to Scripture to find the cure. We will see that the answer is already provided to us. We may not like the answer! We need to use this information to make changes in our lives if we want to be healed from these diseases.

  • Cleaning out the leaven…being prepared

    Cleaning out the leaven…being prepared

In a few weeks time we will be celebrating the Passover , the feast of First Fruit and the Feast of Unleavened bread. It is time to start preparing our homes and our hearts for this time. We prepare by removing leaven from our homes, both physical and spiritual. You may think that we still have plenty of time to do this, but you also know how time flies and how busy we all are. We always think there is plenty of time left, spiritually as well, but is this true? Our lives are not our own, and can be cut short at any time. Will you be ready when that happens, will I? Have you considered this, or do you move these kind of thoughts quickly to the back of your mind, not wanting to think about it? We should not do this, but instead ponder this and make sure we are adequately prepared. Leaven can’t remove itself and just as we prepare for this feast, by removing all leaven from our homes, we are to make sure we are spiritually prepared too.

  • Defending your faith!

    Defending your faith!

How often have you ended up discussing your faith or beliefs with others and then, at the end, wished you were better prepared? Have you ended up in a heated debate and then realized you could have done this better? Let us see if we can get any good recommendation from Scripture. Let us look into the instructions we are given about reaching out to others. What did Y’Shua do and what did Paul and Peter teach their followers? Our goal with this study is to see if we can go into these conversations better prepared.
