All that YHVH has spoken we will do!…a message for Shavuot
It is almost Shavuot again, the feast of proclamation. How blessed are we to be able to celebrate YHVHs appointed times? YHVH has a purpose with these days, a very special purpose. These appointed times are prophetic and this one, Shavuot, has been fulfilled twice. We have learned, with the previous cycle, that this day is also called the day of proclamation. So what are we proclaiming this year? We believe that we need to continue in repentance as our ways are not perfect before Him. However, we also need to re-commit ourselves to serve YHVH, without compromise. Allow us to explain…

What exactly is the Sinai Covenant ? – Covenants – Part 4
An investigation into the covenant that YHVH made with the people He led out of Egypt. The Sinai covenant is a lot more complex and controversial than the Abrahamic covenant. The Sinai covenant was conceived to be a type of “suzerain treaty†establishing YHVH as king and Israel as the vassal. Why was it necessary for YHVH to create another covenant with Israel? He already had a covenant with their forefathers. The Sabbath is to serve as the reminder of this covenant. Why would YHVH specifically choose the Sabbath as the sign?

The Abrahamic Covenant – Covenants – Part 3
In our next installment in the series of the Biblical covenants we look into the covenant made with Abraham. Why was Abarham chosen and what exactly was promised to him? It is also interesting to analyze exactly who receives the benefits of this promise. And last we need to take a look at what this means for us.

The Fourth Commandment – Part 1 – Who Changed It?
Our Father is a loving Father, and it is His desire to bless us. He is good, and His Word is good. He created the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day He rested. He blessed this day and sanctified it. He made the seventh day; a day set apart from the other, a day of rest and refreshment. He blessed us by giving us this gift of the Sabbath, a day to spend in His presence, a day to renew our strength physically and spiritually. The sad thing is, His gift was exchanged for another. His instructions were exchanged for man’s. He never commanded the first day of the week as a rest day! There is not a single reference in Scripture to support this change. I want to urge you to consider this. The Sabbath is not just any day of the week; it is a very special day, a day set apart by the Creator of heaven and earth Himself. Man does not have the authority to change this, and yet he has. However, you are not a follower of man; you would not be studying this topic, if you were. He wants you to know the truth; His truth. Do not delay in learning this, it is very important.

Breaking the Covenant – Covenants Part 2
In the first post in the series we discussed the concepts of a covenant and looked at some different types and forms of the covenants. In this post we will be looking at the concept of breaking a covenant and how that is different from annulling or voiding an agreement or contract. Very often we hear the theory that the original Sinaic covenant has been terminated because of the incident of the golden calf and therefor YHVH had to make another covenant with His people. Even if we make this mistake of treating YHVH’s covenant as a contract, this is not true.

The sins of our fathers and Shavuot
Shavuot is known as the Feast of Proclamation. This is what each of us are to do on this day; make a proclamation! What are we to proclaim? We are to call out to Abba YHVH, confessing our iniquity and the iniquity of our fathers. Why do we have to do this and how?
