• Will YHVH allow us to be deceived?

Will YHVH allow us to be deceived?

Every person alive is subject to deception. Y’shua said even the very elect would be deceived (Matt 24:24). This was also Y’shua’s very first warning when He was asked about the end of the age. He said: “see to it that no one deceives you” (Matt 24:3-5). We have written a few previous posts about deception and will continue to do, because of the importance and relevance of this topic. In this study, we want to look at how certain practices can make it possible for us to be deceived. These practices can be summarized as mixed worship. This will include any practices and traditions contrary to the Word.

  • A spiritual priesthood?

    A spiritual priesthood?

The truth of YHVH’s word is like fire, it purifies. It also burns, which may bring pain. Truth can bring pain when it exposes deception. I will rather face the pain truth brings now, than to face the wrath of YHVH’s judgment which is a consuming fire. YHVH’s word is also like balm, it will bring healing. This article may bring pain, for most of us will have to repent of this deception, but it will also bring healing, bringing us closer to YHVH. May YHVH open your heart and eyes to His truth and guide you with His Spirit.

  • The End of the Age

    The End of the Age

There is much speculation regarding the coming of the Messiah Y’shua. Many interpretations and predictions are made. How do we know what is true? What will be the sign of Y’shua’s coming? Y’shua’s disciples were also anxious to know this. The first thing Y’shua said when asked this question was to warn them to see to it that no one deceives them. This warning is for us too. There are so many theories and prophets out there. Some of these theories have been repeated so many times that is has been accepted as truth. It may seem true, but do not be deceived, test everything against YHVH’s word. That is the purpose of this article to see how Y’shua answered this question to His disciples and align it with the rest of scripture in order to give us a clearer perspective on this.

  • Transferal of spirits

    Transferal of spirits

We have found ourselves in awkward situations when we stayed in the hostel in Jerusalem. People from all walks of life go to Jerusalem for different reasons. People are often eager to share their faith, prophesy or pray for whomever is interested. I once shared a table with a lady in the kitchen at breakfast time and she wanted to pray and prophesy for me. She was doing the same for everybody she encountered. How are we to deal with this? Should you allow a complete stranger to lay hands on you and pray for you? It is taught that we are to be careful whom we associate with or whom we allow to lay hands on us, for evil spirits, may be transferred to us. In this study, we will search scripture to find out if this statement is true.

  • How the spiritual realm influences us

How the spiritual realm influences us

This is the second of a series of articles about the spiritual realm and its influence on us. This may seem a strange topic especially for us Torah-observant believers in Y’shua. It is a topic that is often ignored or not much talked about, especially in this movement. When YHVH revealed the truth to us that His law has not been done away with and that all His commandments were still valid, basically that we have been lied to all our lives, we put all things identified with Christianity aside. For many years, we focused on learning how to keep YHVH’s commandments, while unlearning all the ingrained untruths. However, we believe that YHVH is guiding us to learn more about the spiritual realm especially how we can be influenced by it and how to deal with it when we are. This will become even more important as things progress toward the second coming of Messiah Y’shua. The world is immersed in darkness and we as believers must know how to navigate through it in order to live effective lives. This is a daily battle and we are to be properly equipped. We will otherwise be defeated or distracted so much that we will not be able to do what we are here to do.

  • Why we are to do our own Bible study

Why we are to do our own Bible study

In this article, we want to look into why it is necessary for us to do our own Bible study and why we should apply self-discipline and establish a habit of daily Bible study. We can learn from others, but we find several reasons why we are to study for ourselves. We will explore it in this article.
