• The Significance of Baptism

    The Significance of Baptism

Is it really important to be baptized when coming to faith in Y’Shua as your Messiah? Y’Shua told His disciples to go and baptize people. The apostles kept up the tradition of baptizing new believers once they had acknowledged their faith in Y’Shua. The church as changed this doctrine over time to now also include infant baptism. Is this correct? As part of our continuing study on the spiritual dimension we will also look at the spiritual impact that baptism has in the life of a believer in Y’Shua.

  • Scriptural guidance for the act of worship

Scriptural guidance for the act of worship

Quite often we hear the term ” praise and worship” being used. We use these terms very loosely and everybody attaches their own meaning. Let us turn to the Scriptures to see what we should do when we worship our Creator.

    Discipleship

What are the implications if we claim to be disciples of Y’Shua? Several people asked Y’Shua this question and He provided some interesting answers. • The Last Supper was not a Passover seder

The Last Supper was not a Passover seder

Every year before and during Passover, we are confronted with the same questions. One of these questions is: was the last meal Y’shua had with His disciples a Pesach seder? There are many passages in Scripture that seem contradictory, especially on this topic, but we believe that these seeming contradictions are because of our lack of understanding. We believe that all Scripture is inspired by YHVH’s Ruach (Spirit). There are minor scribal and translation errors in Scripture, but apart from these, the message remains the same. We will show you evidence from the Scripture, regarding the last meal Y’shua had with His disciples. We will also look at the instructions regarding these days and how Y’shua fulfilled the feast of Passover. All this is important in order for us to understand why His last meal could not have been a Passover seder.

  • Which calendar did Y’shua follow?

    Which calendar did Y’shua follow?

It is almost time for the new biblical year to begin, depending on which calendar you use. Which calendar to use is no easy decision and the topic of the calendar can even be controversial. The calendar is certainly not a salvation issue, there should be no arguing about it. It should not divide us, and yet it does. This is not new, there had been division over calendars even in the time of Y’shua. There are so many different calendars and each one following their respective calendar believe they are right. There is the Sighted moon calendar, the Hillel 2 calendar(commonly known as the Jewish calendar), the Conjunction or dark moon calendar, the Essene calendar to name but a few. You will also find calendars where the vernal equinox is used to determine the start of the new year and others where the barley is used for this purpose. It is not our purpose to go into the detail of each of these, instead we want to approach this from a different angle. Join us as we find out which calendar Y’shua used when He was here on earth…
