• Entangled by unrighteous ties

    Entangled by unrighteous ties

Are you entangled by unrighteous ties? Are you being held back by invisible cords? It is possible that we are kept from fulfilling our purpose due to ties that hold us back. In our previos article we looked at marriage and our relationship with YHVH. In this article, we will learn about other relationships and its impact on us. We will be looking at both the positive and negative impact of relationships, but also at how relationships are part of YHVH’s design for us. A relationship can be a blessing or a snare and we are to be responsible in our dealings with people, both physical and spiritual.

  • Preparing for the Fall feasts

    Preparing for the Fall feasts

We are currently in the sixth month of the Biblical year, the month of Elul. This month is traditionally known as a month of introspection or repentance. This is a tradition, but a worthwhile one. It is good to consider where we are and what we have done. It is also good to ask YHVH to reveal to us what may be standing between us and Him and between us and fellow believers. We can use this time well and forgive and ask forgiveness. This introspection is part of the preparation for the fall feasts: Yom T’ruah, Yom Kippurim and Sukkot. But there is more…

  • The Power of Words

    The Power of Words

YHVH gave us the ability to communicate through spoken words. These words have much power. We can hurt with our words and we can edify. Our words create our lives, in the same way YHVH created all He did, by speaking it forth. YHVH created everything with words, He spoke and it was so. We were also created this way, in YHVH’s image, and He gave us the power to use words to create our reality on earth. In a small way, we can see this…

  • Flee from these seven!

    Flee from these seven!

It is one thing to repent of our sin and unrighteousness, but quite another to live righteously after that. It is challenging to live in the world among others, and not learn or be influenced by their, not so righteous, ways. This concerns both believers and unbelievers. Then, on the other hand, we may be that stumbling block to others. That is not something we like to hear, but we may be doing things without being aware of it. The reason for this post is to help us identify things we should avoid, either in ourselves or others in order to live more righteously. Living righteously should be our focus. Use this to evaluate yourself and ask YHVH to reveal the areas you need to work on to you. What do you do when you come to one of these situations? Sometimes the only way would be to flee from it…

  • Weigh your words….

    Weigh your words….

Can words be measured? Can words be weighed? What is the measure of my words? Job 31:6 6 Let Him weigh me with accurate scales, And let יהוה know my integrity. What does weighing and scales have to do with words or with integrity? Picture an old scale, maybe an ancient scale that uses weights for measurement. Now let us say Abba YHVH’s instructions are the weights against which our words are weighed. Put the Word of YHVH into the one weighing pan and your words in the other. How do your words measure against His Word? Would you not like your words to be in perfect balance with YHVH’s. Is that at all possible?
