Yom Kippurim and the sins of our fathers
When we consider the world, we may be led to mistakenly believe that we can sin with impunity. However, sin without consequence does not exist. It may appear that ungodly people prosper more than the godly. They seem to be blessed in all areas of their lives, but if you look deeper, you will often find emptiness, heartache and depression. Sadly, this doesn’t seem to be unique to unbelievers, we find the same pain amongst believers. This pain in both groups is eased with obsessions or addictions: work, ministry, prescription drugs, alcohol, co-dependent relationships, sex or thrills. We said that sin without punishment does not exist, but we don’t always see this punishment. How are we to understand this?

The Secret mission of Y’Shua
When we speak of Y’Shua being the Messiah, we have a clear view of what that implies. We understand the significance of what He did for us when He offered His life for us. When we look into the details of the ministry of Y’Shua as recorded in Scripture, we see that almost nobody knew the real mission of Y’Shua on earth. When we read about the ministry of Y’Shua, a number of things become a lot more interesting once our eyes have been opened to the spiritual dimension. YHVH gave His people prophesies in order for them (and us) to know that He is in control since the very beginning. He is not surprised by what happens in the world or in our lives. Prophecies are also for our re-assurance when we fear and doubt; it strengthens us when our faith is weak. YHVH had a plan from the beginning and Y’shua was part of His plan. How do we know if Y’shua was the prophesied Messiah?
