• The Sabbath, a delight?

    The Sabbath, a delight?

To observe the Sabbath is to experience a little bit of eternity. When we spend the Sabbath in the way YHVH intended for us to spend it, we experience blessing, joy, love and insurmountable peace. It becomes the center of the week, a day to look forward to, a delight indeed. My favorite day of the week. In this article we will look at the practical observance of the Sabbath. Many people are new to this, but even for those who have been keeping the Sabbath for years, let this be a refresher for you. We all need it sometimes just to refocus or to realize how good we have it to be able to celebrate the Sabbath in freedom.

    Remember and guard the Sabbath!

We have written a few articles about the Sabbath before, however, circumstances have prompted me to write this to you. Circumstances that were caused by my poor planning and wrong choices. Do you realize how easy it is to compromise? It just kind of happens, and you only notice it when it’s already too late. So, please read this; maybe it will help you not to make the same mistakes.

“You shall have a holy convocation”

This may seem like a strange title for an article, but it is not so strange after all. Do you know what it means to have a holy convocation? I thought I did, until I did this study. This study was prompted by a dear friend who asked the question: are we commanded to assemble on the Sabbath? This is a good question, with a unexpected answer. Assembling on the Sabbath and Feast days with like minded believers is a huge blessing, but is this what is commanded with the words “you shall have a holy convocation?”
