Trip Report – Shavuot – Our proclamation
The previous two articles we published regarding the feast of Shavuot emphasized the proclamation that had to be made as part of our Shavuot celebrations. We felt that this proclamation needed to be a repentance of sin. This repentance should not only be for our own sins, but also for the sins of our fathers. We set out on our trip to Jerusalem with the idea that we as a family needed to make a proclamation. However, we did feel that YHVH may have a bigger plan in mind. Little did we really know what an awesome experience awaited us!
The sins of our fathers and Shavuot
Shavuot is known as the Feast of Proclamation. This is what each of us are to do on this day; make a proclamation! What are we to proclaim? We are to call out to Abba YHVH, confessing our iniquity and the iniquity of our fathers. Why do we have to do this and how?
How to count the Omer and celebrate Shavuot
Shavuot is the forth feast of seven in YHVH’s annual cycle. We have not been given a date for this feast but are commanded to count towards this special day. The purpose of this article is to attain an understanding as to what Abba YHVH expects of us in the observance of this feast, but also to search out some of the wonderful lessons we learn through the counting towards this feast and the observance of it.
Are you willing to be transformed?
There are seven feasts in Abba YHVH’s annual feast cycle. These feasts are perpetual and have a very specific purpose, fulfillment and a special spiritual significance. This cycle is a cycle of sanctification unto righteousness. During this cycle, another area in our lives is transformed, bringing us one step closer to who we are to be in Y’shua; transforming us into His image. Are you willing to be transformed?
