• Dispelling Spiritual Darkness

    Dispelling Spiritual Darkness

Darkness is the spiritual force that takes over when the will of YHVH is rejected. This gives the enemy legal right and authority. We are influenced by this darkness around us. We fall into temptation, we turn away from YHVH, our prayers are not effective, we don’t hear YHVH’s voice and don’t know His will. As believers, we are called to be lights in this darkness. The question is, are we effective in dispelling darkness or are we helping it along? This article is meant to help believers to be effective in this task.

Yom Kippurim and the sins of our fathers

When we consider the world, we may be led to mistakenly believe that we can sin with impunity. However, sin without consequence does not exist. This pain in both groups is eased with obsessions or addictions: work, ministry, prescription drugs, alcohol, co-dependent relationships, sex or thrills. We said that sin without punishment does not exist, but we don’t always see this punishment. How are we to understand this?

David Robert Reuben and Robert Browning were not the first people to say something about marriage. Much has been said about marriage. Many books have been written about the subject, yet if we look at the divorce statistics we see something is seriously wrong. I believe one reason for marriages not lasting, is because instead of looking to YHVH’s word for guidance in marriage, people tend to look to pop psychology for help and answers. Lots of instruction on marriage can be found in scripture. In this article, we will look a bit deeper into what marriage is. There are certain aspects about marriage that make this union unique.
