Yom Kippurim is the second of the fall feasts and is also known as the Day of Atonements or the Day of Coverings. It is often said that your fate for the next year is determined and inscribed in the Book of Life on Yom T’ruah and sealed on Yom Kippurim. This is a Babylonian tradition, which has its roots in idolatry. This said, it does make you wonder what this Book of Life, mentioned in Scripture, is all about.
