Having an attitude of gratitude

Written by Schalk_and_Elsa. Posted in Training in righteousness

I believe that one of the reasons YHVH gives us children is to teach us about ourselves :) Consider what happens when we give our children everything they desire at the very moment they want it? They get spoiled. When children are spoiled and told that they can’t have something, they pout and sulk. Some will even storm off or throw a tantrum. It is usually an ugly display of discontentment. This conduct is not unique to children. When things don’t go our way, we sometimes act in the same way towards our heavenly Father. We tend to focus on our perception of how things should be and when it’s not that way, we complain and feel discontented.

The purpose of the article is to identify and change this behavior. It has helped me, maybe it will help you too…

Mind control and fear

Written by Schalk_and_Elsa. Posted in Set apart living, Spiritual Warfare, Training in righteousness

Modern media have made it possible for us to be “involved” in multiple wars, while at the same time know of every brutal murder, robbery or shooting that has taken place and in every graphic detail. The question is, do we really have to know so much detail? What purpose does it serve? What is the agenda behind this? The other question is: how much of this is really true and how much is manipulated? Then you have all the conspiracy theories on the internet…

We are influenced by all this without realizing it. We are willingly submitting to whatever agenda is promoted. Fear is often used as a means to control. How are we to deal with this? We have studied the Scriptures to find out how we are to deal with this and share our findings in this article. May it bless and help you!

The Sabbatical year, a “reset” every seven years

Written by Schalk_and_Elsa. Posted in Sabbatical Year

The next Sabbatical year is in 2016, from the first day of Aviv. We plan to keep this commandment. This commandment, to keep the Sabbatical year, is seen by some as quite controversial and one of those commandments which is said not to pertain to us who don’t live in the land. As a result of this mindset, it is pushed aside and not really studied. However, when you start studying this commandment and its significance, you would be amazed at how carefully YHVH has planned this.
