Sukkot – The Basics
It is almost Sukkot, the festival of joy! Every year we find ourselves in need of review of the Scriptures regarding the feast in order to make sure we don’t miss out on anything. For, this reason, we decided to write a short article with just the basics and links to the other articles we have written on the topic. It makes it easier to find the information.
Forbidden Fruit…The Orlah Prohibition
Did you know that trees can be uncircumcised, and that we are not to partake of an uncircumcised tree? This prohibition is written in the book of Leviticus. We recently were asked how to apply this commandment in our lives. We are also planning to plant some fruit trees in future, so we need to learn how to care for them and when we can start eating their fruit. For these reasons, we want to explore what this means and how to apply this commandment in our lives. Please join us as we learn about this.
