Transferal of spirits

We have found ourselves in awkward situations when we stayed in the hostel in Jerusalem. People from all walks of life go to Jerusalem for different reasons. People are often eager to share their faith, prophesy or pray for whomever is interested. I once shared a table with a lady in the kitchen at breakfast time and she wanted to pray and prophesy for me. She was doing the same for everybody she encountered. How are we to deal with this? Should you allow a complete stranger to lay hands on you and pray for you?
It is taught that we are to be careful whom we associate with or whom we allow to lay hands on us, for evil spirits, may be transferred to us. In this study, we will search scripture to find out if this statement is true.

The topic of spiritual utterance has been on our list to study for a long time now. This topic can be controversial, but needn’t be. We will focus on what is written about this in Scripture. There are actually three kinds of spiritual utterances found in Scripture. Speaking in tongues is one of these.
How do we know if we have YHVH’s Spirit in us?

There are many references to YHVH’s Set Apart Spirit in Scripture. In the Tanakh we read of many people who had the Spirit of YHVH upon them always in order for them to perform a task or position. In the Apostolic writings we read of Y’shua speaking of this promise of YHVH, which will be fulfilled after He ascended to Heaven. This promise was YHVH’s Spirit as a helper to all who believed.
