Free from Captivity
We become holy or set apart by the process of sanctification. YHVH wants us to be set apart people for Him. Sanctification is the process of removing everything that causes separation between us and YHVH. The process of sanctification started for us with obedience to His Word. As we learned how YHVH wanted us to live, we left behind the ways of the world and followed His way. We repented of our lawlessness and became more sanctified. this is an ongoing process, it is a journey. There is, however, more to the process of sanctification. I know this since I have experienced this, I felt that something was holding me back spiritually and I didn’t know what it was. I found the answer in getting free from the captivity caused by the iniquity of my forefathers. This is also a part of this sanctification process and many people don’t realize they they are being held captive.

You never know you’ve been asleep till you wake up
We believe that we are living in a time of restoration. Many things are being revealed to us and restored to us. The seventh day Sabbath has been restored to us. The Biblical feasts have been restored to us. More and more, we are being taught to keep Abba YHVH’s commandments. We, being in the Diaspora cannot keep any of the commandments perfectly. We keep Sabbath, but we can’t do the commanded offers; we celebrate the feasts and there also we lack. We believe that we should be observing all the Sabbaths: the weekly, the annual and the seventh year Sabbath as well. This will, likewise, be difficult to keep in the Diaspora, but nonetheless, not impossible. There is more to the Sabbatical year than just the commandments regarding the land. We also have to release every debt. It remains part of YHVH’s divine reckoning of time. We won’t be able to do it perfectly. It is about keeping YHVH’s way to the best of our ability and with a willing heart.

The Sabbatical Year, should we keep this commandment?
The Sabbatical year is a picture of provision. All the instructions regarding this commandment points to provision. The releasing of debt and slaves. The cessation of all field labour for a year. These are very challenging instructions. To keep the Sabbatical year requires absolute dedication. Dedication in our obedience towards our Elohim.
