When people realize that the Tanakh is still valid in our lives today, they very often start to struggle with the concept of “YHVH echad.†What most people do not realize is that physical manifestations of YHVH also happened in the Tanakh. Spring is in the air; the Barley is aviv and the new moon has been sighted. A new year has begun! It is almost Pesach, and we are in the final stages of searching and removing the leaven from our homes. This physical action, to remove leaven has a deep spiritual significance. Leaven is symbolic of all the issues in our lives that cause a hindrance in our relationship with Abba YHVH, and it is amazing how, while we spend time “spring cleaning,” we are confronted with this leaven in your own lives.
This search for and removal of the leaven culminates in the Pesach meal and the seven days of unleavened bread. We shall show you in this study how the preparation for, and the feast of Unleavened bread is also about restoring or creating intimacy between us and our Heavenly Father.
During the annual mo’ed of Yom Kippurim (Day of Atonements), the high priest of Israel had a very special role to play. He had to take the blood of the sin offerings before YHVH to atone for his sin, his family’s sin and the sin of the nation. When Y’shua died and was resurrected, His blood became the atonement for all our sin. So how then is the feast of Atonement/ Coverings changed now that Y’Shua sits on the right hand of YHVH and provides a covering for his bride? We have the book of Hebrews to explain this to us, provided that we have a clear understanding of what the author of Hebrews is trying to tell us. To many of us still have a replacement theology view embedded in our minds when we think about the book of Hebrews. Let us take another look at how all of this comes together and what Ezekiel’s temple vision tells us about this.

We are going to look into pre-mosaic tithing, mosaic tithing and what we can learn from Y’shua and history. What does Abba Yahovah require from us with regards to tithing and giving? What is in our Father’s heart?
