Your life has an impact

Written by Schalk_and_Elsa. Posted in restoration

Each of us has a purpose and a role to play in YHVH’s plan. I saw a short video last week of dominoes, gradually increasing in size, that illustrated this beautifully. You may have seen it too. The biggest domino was standing almost half a meter tall and the smallest was so small it had to be put in place with a tweezer. That smallest domino was set in motion with the slightest movement of the tweezer, though it started the action of throwing over all the dominoes, even the greatest one. Even the slightest action has an effect of great significance.

I want to encourage you with this. Each of us, no matter how insignificant we are in our own eyes or the eyes of others, has an important role to play in YHVH’s plan. We may not even know what impact we make, but we do.

Shavuot 2015 – An appointed time of great significance

Written by Schalk_and_Elsa. Posted in Shavuot

Shavuot, the feast of oaths, an appointed time with our Heavenly Father. On this day we seven ourselves, we re-dedicate ourselves to YHVH. We have come to experience Shavuot as focusing on our relationship with YHVH, both individually and nationally. It does make sense because on this day the Torah was given and later the Holy Spirit. Both the Torah and the Holy Spirit enables us to have a relationship with our Heavenly Father. The Torah teaches how to be set apart and the Holy Spirit enables us to be obedient to these instructions.

Read here about our experience of this day.

National and Personal redemption, both are required

Written by Schalk_and_Elsa. Posted in repentance

“The person who sins will die. The son will not bear the punishment for the father’s iniquity, nor will the father bear the punishment for the son’s iniquity; the righteousness of the righteous will be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked will be upon himself.”(Eze 18:20)

The Apostle Paul also teaches that we are to work out our own salvation with fear and trembling (Phil 2:12)

Each of us is responsible for him or herself in the sense that we are to repent of our own sins when we become aware of it. However, there is something to be said about national repentance and redemption. There is much proof of this in Scripture. How are we to understand and apply this in our lives?
